Fiat Doblo 2015 diesel 1.6 diesel ---- came in with detonated engine of 185,00 miles valve to piston damage cylinder no 4
didn't really want to do it but the customer found an engine with warranty with 65000 miles on
swapped engine change clutch and flywheel for new, damaged injector and glow plugs all replaced all 4
new egr . run lovely for a day!!!! cut out and never started again
did some wiring checks plugged to diagnostic : talks to ecu no errors, talks to BCM no errors replaced high pressure pump
tried both keys still cranks no fire! no power to electronic side of injectors , will run on etha
got the engine ecu cloned changed earth straps , checked fuel filter, you name it .... but still no start
any ideas anyone because my head is ready to roll off with it

Generally no need to touch ECU if you change all electricals from old engine to new.
You may find injector coding out but I have never had that stop an engine.
Is the rev counter flicking/trying to read , if not change crank sensor.
I would have changed just the bare engines, so any DPF or sensors etc . fully matched the original.
 
What is rail pressure while cranking on starter motor?
If rail pressure below threshold ecu will not trigger injectors.

As Mike says check getting rpm signal.
Use scan tool to read rpm while cranking.
 
No guys this process has been a big job...... when the engine was first installed it run perfect for three days

it cut out and never started again
