Hi everyone, I am wanting some advice regarding my Y reg brava 80sx. I have just booked it in to a local garage to get the awful knocking sorted at the front end, he says it will be the front anti roll bar drop links and that to supply and fit them will be approx £100. Is this a good price and how much are they to buy? the mechanic said £25 each..... its booked in for next Tuesday so plenty of time to cancel if i can do them myself :D. Thanks for any help (y)

Hi, thanks for the reply....yes i've wielded many a spanner in anger :D I would rather do it myself as it also requires a new radiator so any cash i save can go towards that as i'm not working so a little skint  ... I'd say i'm fairly competent as i did the rear shockers myself for example. (y)

Hi, the drop links are easy to replace and the Mechanic quoted you a very high price, was that a set or each? Look on ebay brand new will cost about six pounds.(y)

Hi again, thought i'd just update this and i've just picked the car up but it wasnt the drop links after all......it was the balljoints/wishbone bushes at the front causing all the probs. Its ended up costing £225 in total and the car is so much quiter and comfortable and at last no knocking :D , the mechanic showed me the old worn parts so was happy over that and i'm just pleased to have it sorted as it really spoilt the car. I thought the price was a bit high but this garage comes highly recommended and it included vat etc, Thanks for your replies and help
