Another Red Key Issue!!

hi,
The RED KEY again!! I baught a brava 1.4 SX, it was a second hand car and the dealer did not give me the red key!! I had problems with the Airbag indicator and the ECU for the Air bag needs to be changed!! Do i need the red key even for that?

As I know, NO !
The red key is hardly used, but if something happens whit the car ECU, than it will be needed (not always).
I had my air bag ECU reset a couple of weeks ago, and it needed only the blue key.
+ I was told, that the red key hardly ewer comes in use in any way of mechanical work on the car. (fiat service place)

thanks, actually the workshop has my car for more than 3 weeks now and every time i call him
he just says he is waiting for the ECU to arrive(it would take less time if he ordered it from india ), I thought maybe he is trying to struggle with the red key issue )

Nope, he would say something about it.
He is doing 2 things now - IMO
1) really waiting for the NEW air bag ECU
2) waiting to get one from a scrappy or someplace else cos the things are very expensive.
When the car is finished, ask for the bill and see what they have installed.

i am anyway going to him on monday to see my car, its been so long .. i have already forgotten the color of my car )
