Hi, another Qubist joining the fold (nearly).

Have decided to leave the world of LR ownership for something a bit more economical! Hope to be picking up a 2013 MyLife 1.3 MJ Dualogic next week.

Well I picked it up and, have to say, am already smitten :)

It's a 2013 1.3 MJ MyLife S&S S-A. Whilst I've only owned auto cars (disabled after a bike smash) I've never owned a clutchless manual before. Yes, it can lurch every now and then but then, after 24 hours I was habitually (almost subconsciously) lifting off and changes are smooth as 99% of the time.

One thing I would like to know. We're all S-A's before 2015 6 speed? Or were some variants 5?
Only mine is a 5, was advertised as such and gives no error messages or anything if you try and select (the seemingly non existent) 6th. When I queried it the dealer advised that they contacted the supplying dealer who said it had been supplied as a 5 speed S-A and the HPI print says it's a 5 and it certainly doesn't act like it's missing top. I got the warranty upped from 1 year to 3 on the strength of my query anyway.

Ours is a 2012 ( 62 plate ) and same spec, yes it's 5 speed. Still nice only costing £20 a year road tax.

And yes qubo...... You win..... ( another forum member with a 6 speed ! .... Earlier model...... [emoji12] )

Feel free to ask anything, however the forum has probably covered most things in the past, so have fun reading!

Hi QuBandit, Welcome to the wonderful world of the Qubist/Fiorinoist. great little cars, like 'Mad one' says, any questions ask away, one of us will probably have a answer. Though not always the right one.....haha.
Mines a 2009 reg, with a 6 speed Dualogic.
Enjoy.
Cheers Qube O.

Thanks for the answers and welcomes guys. Interesting on the 5/6 speed. When you look on all the sites like Parker's HJ etc, they all indicate that MyLife's are 6 speed and from 2015 they introduced 5 speed, maybe they changed to 5 earlier?? Either way, nice to know it's not a duffer and makes the extension of warranty to three years to convince me even sweeter :)

I almost had to ask what the little red led switch behind the gear lever did because I couldn't find it in the manual anywhere and it didn't do anything notable when switched on. But flash of inspiration had me try driving slowly towards a wall with it both off and on, now know it's for the front parking sensors! Lol.
