Hi all,
I'm meistro and I'm the new owner of a 79' X1/9 (actually its for my wife to play with). It was last liscenced in California in 2003. Now its here in my garage about 50 miles north of Chicago. Its a clean car with only a few tiny rust spots. Its light blue in color with caramel interior. It has 46,000 miles on it. Very very clean car for the $1000 I paid for it. It has only been here in the garage 2 weeks. Took the better half of a day to dig it out of the snow and drag it onto the trailer without damaging anything from where it sat in Wisconsin. At least it had a car cover on it. The locked front brakes made it a challenge to roll it off the trailer when we got home so off came the brake pads.

So in the mean time, drained the fuel, let the car thaw, it fired right up with fresh fuel, I was pretty impressed. I ordered brake parts, and studied the car and made a list of things to do. The radiator has a big rust stain on the lower pass side, though its not currently leaking. The drivers side door opening can use new wetherstrip. The dome light doesn't work. Somebody put stereo speakers on both sides of the center console, have to find those 2 panels now somewhere cause it looks like $!^*. etc, etc...

I have a gallery site that I put my projects in called sandrooster dot calm with currently one photo of the 1/9 as it sits on the trailer. I'll listen to any advise anyone has to offer as this is the first Italian car I've messed with and I'd love to hear what I should look out for.
