Technical Another Ducato key problem

Hi all, new member,
Sorry that my first post is asking for something but i need info ASAP!
I did a search but cant find the answer i need

I lost the key of my Ducato this week and i need to use it badly at the weekend

Its a 1999 2.8 straight diesel, i only got one key with it, a black one

I took out a door barrel and got a new key cut but now i have to bypass the immobiliser
I was told by a man in Fiat that i can break open a box on top of the pump and reconnect the middle wire

I will try this tomorrow but i'd greatly appreciate the views of anybody who has done this before as i dont want to make things worse,
i really need to use the van on Fri and dont have to cash to go paying for a new (expensive) key

I have just had a great fella come out and cut and make me 2 transponder keys for my 2.8 1999 Ducato and a new door key for £100.
