Hey guys,

Besides looking nicer, does it provide any advantage to original steel cover? From the looks of it, it may resist warping from over tightening. I don't know how much heat can be desipated from the valve cover. I'll be moving down to Louisana in a couple of month so it'll be much hotter and humid than Ohio.

Just looking since I'm getting an aluminum oil pan.

Thank y'all,

If its the alloy cover with the fins the the answer may be more surface area?
A greater surface area will lead to more efficient cooling given the same amount of airflow over it. I imagine to be optimal the air flow would run the length of the fins, not across them?
Also if the cover is cooler and the oil coming up the center tube hits it then some heating/cooling transference would occur.
I'm just taking a logical guess here, so don't hang me if I'm wrong please.
Cheers, miki.
