Technical Alternator wiring

Hi just replaced my 1.9 jtd 115bhp engine in my stilo but i can only find 1 wire to fit onto the alternator, its the small black wire, do you know if there should be more wires and ware do they go to?

to charge the battery it needs a heavy guage (normally red) cable....this is the one you have forgotten to re-connect.

does this go straight from the alternator to the battery?

yes...often links to starter solenoid aswell.
