Alternator wiring help please

Hi All

(1971 Fiat 500L)

So ive replaced my 500 (dynamo) engine with a 126 ( Alternator) engine.

Ive got a replacement new 500 loom from Ricambio as the old one was butchered

Ive kept the regulator box and connected the RED/ BROWN (red to Ignition switch / brown from Starter/battery) and the BROWN / GREEN (Brown from Alternator +ve , Green to electrical connector block at front) wires together on terminal 30 of the reg box.

The Black wire I have just left loose..

Is this correct please?

( I ask because I am also having issues with the ignition switch - although the black / red / blue wire are connected to the correct terminals, with the key out the ignition seems to be on - ie dash red dash light lit, able to start car! - so I may have either - a dodgy switch or incorrect alternator wiring or both)

- Update ive seen Bambino's wiring diagram on here and it seems that I need to disconnect the the GREEN / BROWN and connect the GREEN separately to the Altenator? If so which Alternator / Regulator connection? on mine I have yellow / green and Brown, ( I hink teh Brown is directly connected to the Alternator B+)

Have you removed the regulator box internals? I know someone that didn't at first place:D:D Below my drawing.
