alloy wheels sizes!

hi people can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit a set of wheels with the following dimensions 205/45/15 onto a fiat bravo 1.4, i have checked a few sites where people have upgraded their wheels and quite a few have fitted 205/45/17 on to their car with the alloys having an ET of 35. i know on this site it ses not to go nomore then 7" which is 195. Could some one let me know if they have fitted wheels of a similar width and let me know if they have had any problems or jus let me know if its possible without any further modding on the arches. thanx!

the wheels ive got on are i think but not sure of by hand are 205/40/17 and fit nicely but that is a brava

195/50/15 is the common size for the tyre to be fitted on a 15" alloy wheel. Dont think 205 will fit on 15" rims but it does depend on the dimensions of the alloy. If its 7" then 205's will fit.

Typical 17" alloys have 205/40/17.

You are confusing wheel and tyre sizes. Bravo alloys are 6Jx 15" with offset ET40. Tyres are 185/55/15.

oh right what i ment was can you fit alloy wheels with a width of 7.5 on a fiat bravo 1.4 withought any problems.

7.5 is pushing the limit. its been done, with very minor work afaik. no metal cutting or archwork afaik
