I have got my car back after a new radiator was fitted under warranty, but the bumper isnt aligned properly

really i should take it back, but its a ball ache.

it needs lifting about 3mm on one side as the bonnet looks raised and the shutline is wrong. onlything is the side that needs lifting is already flush with the light.

anyone done this?

However, if the bumper looks right to the lights, are you sure its not the bonnet thats wrong? Pictures would be handy!

yup, pictures would be helpful.

As you probably realise, the car doesn't need to be raised/lowered.

Torx (5 i believe) screw are top and bottom (4 or 5 on both).

The hardest part is the first 2. - the part that attaches the bumper to the wings. The screw is right in the wrong place, and had to use a bendy screwdriver in the end!

You have to take the 2 or 3 screws in the wheelarch out (by turning the wheels on way then the other and pull the arch down over the wheel and reach up to find your philips screw.

You have to give it quite a tug each side to get it off (I thought I'd missed a screw) as there are lips on it by the light (one of the could be out - causing the misalignment?).

You obviously don't need to disconnect the fog lights, as you aren't actually removing the bumper.

Not quite sure how they've managed to misalign it as the screw and bolt holes don't allow for movement.

Totally agree, the relevant bit of the procedure is:

- Position the bumper and fit in its seat, doing up the side retainers.

It should be impossible to get wrong, unless of course some idiots broken something:mad:

Well that's where I ended up saying that one of the slots is crumpled or broken.. and it won't be the bonnet or it would have been misaligned from the off.

We shall see when the pix arrive!
