Technical Airbag light on JTD 2003

Hi

Has anyone had any issue with the airbag light on? I tried to reset disconnecting the battery and waiting for 10 minutes but not luck! Any suggestion would be appreciate?

I also have 2003 JTD and just recently my airbag light has been coming on for no reason !!!
But to be honest I just ignore it as it is not the worst issue I have had with this car
These cars are getting old now,
Just pray that you don't need your airbag !!!!!

Hi Madham

I agree with you that the airbag light on is not the worse issue. The issue may be that from April 2012 the airbag light on becomes an MOT failure- please correct me is i am wrong! If to reset it would be a cheap solution i do not mind, but i heard that some people have spent hundreds quid to reset it because they replaced the ecu, airbag module etc.

I will try to check the wiring under the passenger seat to see if i can sort it out, fingers crossed!

Yes you are right the airbag light on would fail MOT , sorry did'nt think of that.
Is yours on all the time then ? mine just comes on every now and again but goes out when engine switched off ! sometimes it won't come on for days
Will see what I can find out , let us know if you discover anything
