Can anyone assist by providing the manual air conditioning circuit diagram for 2014 Fiat 500.

The air conditioning is permanently on and I cannot switch it off ?? Has anyone experienced this before ?? Even if I disconnect the switch on the control panel the air conditioning clutch and fan kick in ??

Any help of suggestions greatly appreciated

(To get over the problem and switch off the air con I have disconnected the air con pressure sensor otherwise the engine fan runs at max speed all the time)

Hello,

There's also another doc on the compressor engagment, but I cannot generate it as the site is down again :(

EDIT: I managed to add the 2nd doc ;)

Ac relay stuck?
Evap temp sensor?
Does the compressor run continuously or click on off ( but cannot turn the 'system ' off )
Did the ac work correctly before this issue?
Hi thanks for your message :)

So when I start the car after about a 5 second delay the air conditioning clutch and engine fan kick in. Pushing the air conditioning switch in the car switches the ice symbol light on/off but has no effect switching the system off.

I have swapped the clutch relay (I assume you are referring to this stuck relay?) and no change fault still persists.

From the diagrams sent above it seems the signal is coming from the engine ECU for the clutch engagement, and I suspect the engine fan engagement? So would you agree I am looking at a ECU problem or body computer problem that is telling the ECU the air con is switched on all the time ??

Again thanks all for your help - very much appreciated :)

Does it run continuously never cut off tge compressor?
Blocked "duck bills" in the engine bay can cause water to spill into the car from the scuttle, guess what it tends to fall onto causing all sorts of electrical issues
Hi there

Yes runs all the time and doesn’t cycle ….. engine fan runs at full power also. Just additional information the thermostat and sensor have been replaced…. And the resistor on the rad also replaced with no joy of fixing this.
