As per tittle, does anyone have a guide on removing the air con rad?

I had front bumper off yesterday and it looks very battered and like it has seen better days, so want to replace it

Hi,
does the aircon work at all?
If it does you cannot replace the condenser (radiator) yourself. Only a qualified technician is allowed to work on the pressurised parts of an aircon system. See: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/f-gas-requirements-for-air-conditioners-in-cars-and-other-vehicles
Even if you were allowed to work on it and just let the gas out (highly illegal and damaging to the enviroment) you still need a vacuum pump, manifold set, gas, dryer and lubricant to get the unit working after you open the system.

If the gas has totally leaked out you could in theory do the physical work yourself, but you can't tell if the gas has fully leaked without specialist equipment (and qualifications).
Only DIY option is to get a qualified technician (many offer mobile service) to empty the system, you do the physical work and then have the technician back to evacuate and re-charge the system.
Note that the "top-up" cans and kits that are sometimes sold are no use if the system has been opened because you have to evacuate the air and moisture before re-filling.

(I was trained to do this years ago but don't have F gas qualification)
