Technical Air box

Bi-metal seems it doesnt work anymore in my air box Tipo 1.4ie(the lobe is preset on sucking Cold air all the time), so engine is warming up slower. What is the price of new airbox without air filter at fiat dealer ? Or can I repair the old airbox, but It is sealed inside, I can't get to it. Any ideas ?

I think thats a Temperature sensor problem.

when the engine is warm a diaphram type valve is supposed to close to stop warm air entering the system.

If you are sure its your air box, PM me your VIN/Chassis number and I'll check on ePer for you.

Also check that the Warm Air Hose is intact and connected to the Airbox.

It is in my air box. But I tryed to move the lobe manualy and it seems I have "broken" something. Now it won't open/close automaticly due to cold/warm air. I don't know is it valve or bi-metal, it's stuck in close way.

haynes repair manual says to replace the entire box.
