Hi all, I stupidly didn't take the aerial off my new fiat 500 when going into a car-wash and it was ripped off during the cycle ?
Do any of you lovely people out there have any idea how much a dealer will charge to replace please, I am gutted!

Many thanks x

Not to worry very easily replaced. In fact I drive without one! You can find change from a tenner if you buy on ebay. Knowing the Fiat dealers probably 19.99 GBP. Do let us know how much from the dealer for future reference!

Hi,
Thanks for replying, it is temporarily attached at the moment but obviously no longer working.

The wires were snapped in the process so would be unable to fit a new one myself as would have to gain access through the roof lining?

Budget at least an hour for the workshop to drop the headliner and replace the aerial if nothing else is damaged.

I don't remember the last time I went in a car wash. Had an awful experience with a leaky sunroof, and also my son leaving a back window open on a hire car...!
Much better results doing it myself anyway :)

Not if you've broken the attachment point at the roof, it isn't - you'll need to drop the headlining & replace it from inside the car.

Finding a careful mechanic with clean hands is everything; I'd be more inclined to trust this job to a bodyshop than a conventional garage.
