Advice on ipod adaptors..........

Hi guys, sorry to bug u lot again but.... u lot know it all lol.
Im getting mummys corsa at the weekend, i want to attatch my ipod to it..... but i have been told theres no way around this as vauxhall didnt put a connection on there standard HU.
Is this true, i have one of those that u plug into bottom of ipod and tune the radio to it and TBH its a right faff on.
I really dont want to get a new head unit, as i think those days are passed me now i got other priorities.
Is there any alternative or a way around this?

you would be better just using your fm modulator
