Help me guys (and gals),
I've recently got a new job, which now involves a 50 mile a day round trip, 85% of which is on the motorway.
I'm driving a 99 1.6 HLX, on 17" wheels.
Question is, if i take the 17's off and put the standard 15" HLX wheels back on, will i get a noticable difference in fuel consumption? I noticed when the 17's went on that the car felt slower too?
Thanx in advance.
Tony.
P.S.
Before you vultures start askin about buyin my wheels (lol) they aren't for sale, this is only a temporary measure until i've had the job 3 months, then i'm eligable to "rent" a company corsa sxi for £140 per month, and that includes tax and insurance. I figure that i'll save more than £140 in the lower fuel costs of a 1.2 plus the reduced wear and tear on my Bravo, and the corsa gets changed every 6 months. (Veiws on this subject would be appreciated too!) thanx all.
