Ducato Advice needed please

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I'm after some advice and guidance....we are looking at buying our first Motorhome fiat ducato 2005 ci cerroca 656 6 berth, from a guy off eBay. I have spoken to him on the phone and plan to view the van on Sunday. However, it's a 5hr drive...can anyone give me advice of what I'm looking for or what questions I should be asking? He has stated the van is in very good condition barring the skirts, that have peeled and blistered in the heat. He has told me this will cost around £200?? Someone has mentioned to me that I there might be a service available where someone can go and check the van ahead of me???

Any help, guidance will be extremely welcomed. Thanks in advance
