Ok been searching through a couple of dozen companies and have found 2 giving a very reasonable price but want your advice from past experience on which is better.
Just small info, I’m 21, have has license almost 2 years with pass plus. I've had the car so far 1 year with Norwich union who gave me a re-quote of £620 - £300 excess (same as first year).

Admiral quoted me £578 with £150 excess. This covered all legal costs and my current (soon to be fitted) mods (stereo, lowered suspension and alloys).

Adrian Flux quoted £538 with £250 excess, + legal cover, mods etc.

What I want to know is what are these companies like with their customer service and payouts (god forbid) as I've heard Adrian Flux are not as good.

Also I want to add future mods maybe during 2006 such as chipping, GT brakes, Induction, Exhaust and a throttle body.
I'm wondering on how Admiral's policy on these mods might change and how much each company might alter the policy price mid term with these later mods as I get the impression AF is better in this regard.

Risk only, adrian flux would replace like for like but would be pointless in my mind with the £250 excess unless there was a total loss.

Mine is underwritten by Admiral and all mods are declared (and accepted without question) but only standard replacements in the event of an accident. Saying that they are very flexible about what you can add on. Don't know what they are like to deal with in the event of an accident though.

i am not sure about mods but when i was with admiral and i wrote off my first bravo (skidded on ice) they gave me a courtesy car straight away. Usually when your car is delcared a write off your courtesy car is taken off you.

But with my policy i had extra cover where i was given another courtsy car for upto 4 weeks after the car was declared unrepairble. Was invaluble to me when finding a new car, seeing that I bought the other bravo from leeds (30 miles away)

I am with Adrian Flux, only one I found that would replace car to as was not back to standard all mods declared, driving less than 2 yrs £580.

Service I have had with them has been very good, no claims though thank God.:)

Will only increase policy if engine performance is increased.

Only problem I have with insurance no one I have found will cover the ICE install to its value :(
