Hi,

One my Barchetta's (out of two...) doesn't have ABS and I was wondering whether it would be possible to add the system on from a salvage Barchetta.

Not having the workshop manual as yet, I can see that there are presumably the following components to the system: ECU, Hydraulic unit (over the brake servo), pipework and wheel sensors, plus a fuse and wiring loom.

Has anyone ever attempted/thought about this, or would you all conclude that the addition of ABS isn't a major advantage and I would better of spending my £££ elsewhere?

Cheers,

Mike.

the list you have looks complete (as in thats what I'd expectm, but I'm no expert), but if it were me I'd spend my money on something else... its got breaks and if they work, all is well.

However before I jump to any conclusions, if you feel that the car needs ABS and you're prepared to do spend the time without the carm, and money to get it done then go for it, you're lucky that you have a car to compare against. To me it sounds like a lot of bother - so I'd probably do it lol :)
