Hi, further to my adblue tank not breathing
, (vacuum each time I open the filled cap each time I stop)

Sherwoods in Nottingham suggest the breather pipe will be blocked with crystallised adblue

Has anyone removed said pipe?
Is it accessible at the tank end without having to drop the tank etc?

Cheers

Ducato 2.3 euro 6d 2020

I have the same problem with the vacuum with the result that he gives a warning around the motor.

Common fault I think - I also have a Euro6d Ducato
I have heard of a collapsed ad-blue tank and pipes caused by a blocked vent leading to £1600 bill
The vent hole in the cap is very fine - ok for fuel etc but easily blocked by crystallised ad-blue
So I just drilled it out a bit and clear it with a bent paper clip

had you also this motor warning before you drilled out the cap? I checked yesterday and there was not even a vent hole in the cap so i had to make one. I made it bigger. thx from Belgium. Michel

No I didn't get any warning messages
I just enlarged the vent hole when I heard about someone getting a £1600 bill for a collapsed ad-blue tank and pipes caused by a blocked vent.
They say you shouldn't fill the ad-blue to the top but I always have.
I think I have got away with it because I keep the vent hole in the cap clear
Dried ad-blue could easily block the very small vent hole that was in the cap
The original size of the vent hole seems more suited to petrol or diesel that does not dry out and block it like ad-blue.
