Accelerator problems

Recently, the accelerator has been sticking. On trying to rectify it, we've lost the sping clip. Has anybody got any clues where I get get another one? Or any suggestions on a remedy for this? Is it a question of just tightening the cable...? THANKS!

hmm, if its sticking it may just be worth getting a new accel cable, i think cost me 19quid from fiat. Then at least u know its fixed properley and dont have to worry bout lost bits on old one?

yep, 15mins well that includes breaks for beer nah its dead easy, its a bit fiddly to fit it thru the bulkhead but aside from that its easy

Well I'm sure that I can provide the beers for my husband but he's not a trained mechanic in any way! Does it matter? After all, he is the one who lost the clip... He-he!

haha, tell him off! im sure anyone weill tell you that you dont need to be a trained mechanic to do things like this, just use his noggin and he'll be fine
