Hi,:)
I have just bought a Marea Weekend 1.6ELX auto, a lot of car for not much money:D. So far three other members of my family have driven it and we all agree the accelerator pedal is far too high, it made my ankle ache after 30 minutes driving. I also have a Greek registered (LHD) Brava which does not have this problem (I know that for certain cos I've driven it from Greece and back four times now). Does anyone out there know if there is there any way to adjust the height of the pedal?

1. there is a bolt under the pedal. screw it all the way in, or even better remove it.

2. remove the circlip on the cable adjuster (on throttlebody).

3. use a lenght of pipe to hold the accelerator pedal fully down

4. make sure the butterfly valve is fully open (turn the bit the cable connects to by hand all the way as far as it will go) and then replace the circlip on the adjuster in the position that will keep the butterfly valve fully open.

job done (y)
