abs sensor fixed at last

finally got my abs sensor problem fixed. when i fitted new springs i broke both front abs sensors. finally after 5week wait got some fiat ones for £70ish and fitted one onto only the drivers side and thhis has switched off the abs sensor and made abs work properly? have i not really broken the passenger side one or is the abs being an arse? seems to work and i think i will fit the other one as a safe measure.
