Technical ABS module programming

I have posted this in the 500X section but I’m hoping this would apply to the 500 too and you lot here are much more active on the forum.

I’ve bought a new/second hand ABS pump/module for my 500x and the garage have tested it and it works however they have told me that it needs to be programmed because if they fit it, the EPB will seize on until it’s programmed.

Would I need to go to Fiat to have them fit and program it or is it something that MultiECUScan can do?

Can’t find anything in MES. Apparently it’s to do with the serial number as the system knows it’s not the original one even though it’s identical.

You could try somewhere like ecutesting.com , a friend of mine had a ecu reprogrammed for a mini , think it was for the airbags
