Hey guys & gals,

Went out yesterday in the brum-brum and the rear wheel was frozen on. I didn't realise straight away due to the snow & ice but as I touched the brake pedal the abs kicked in then the light came on and skidded.

I have checked fuses and all fine, could this just be due to the ice or am I looking at a £££'s again? Will the light go off by itself?

Thanks

Darren

2 things that could be:
1. the sensor is frozen and lost contact to the hub - when the ice goes it should start to function
2. the ice got on the sensor/hub and ripped the sensor - new sensor needed

but in general you will need to get a diagnostic check done on the ABS unit.

Thanks sven,

Seems to be No. 1 on your list.

Had a good chat with Andy on here about the sensors, went out to her yesterday, drove her about 500 yards and the light went off!

Fingers crossed it was just frozen.
