My 2001 multipla has various faults on the dash.ie, abs fault and the brakes are no good until you have traveled a few hundred yards, also says air con defective, its not. CDs fault, and now a red engine logo, any thoughts, I have just replaced the abs pump and it is the same

It would be good if you knew someone with a scanner or laptop with the relevant leads.
I had an ABS fault and a guy diagnosed it with a reader as the nearside rear sensor not reading. I cleaned the serrated ring and it went away.
The brakes were weird for the first 100yrds or so as well.

I live in Gray's, Essex, but my knowledge of software and scanners for cars would fill a thimble, I just need to get this sorted, as I feel some people are taking the Mick and my money and know nothing, so all advice is welcome.are there any fiat specialists in my area?

Da motors are in wickford, but your still going to have to pay hefty labour rates...
Maybe worth investing in a code reader...
I may be buying one soon..

I can recommend this one that I've got. Cost about a tenner. Autel MS300 MaxiScan: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

although no where near as versatile at FiatECUScan, which does so much more than checks for errors, when I had my latest ABS fault light I checked the wheel speed readings and could quickly diagnose which of the sensors were not working properly... :worship:

Thanks to all replies, I am contacting a Fiat expert to ask advice, will let you know how it goes.
