Styling Abarth Badges and Livery

Morning all,

Need some help on part no's.

I want to Abarth my Sporting Multijet

The rear badge is faded and needs replacing, i want a genuine abarth badge set.

Problem is - £99 on ebay!, gets me the alloy centre caps, front grill, tailgate, wings and dashboard badge - however, there is no telling that the kit will fit my stilo.

Does anyone have any images of the original Stilo Abarth and the badges that come on it from factory, i want to convert mine.

I will also be buying some side skirts and possible a schuey front bumper.

I have also just purchased some cool number plater holders from Poland and some custom plates with the abarth badges on - not for road use (obviously) but seen as they have the BSAU code on them i might be able to get away with it

Also just to note - i have checked eper and it crashes alot, i dont have access to the 2010 eper that I have either so im a little stuck.

A note on the steering wheel front - you can't replace the badges on the airbag. It's riveted into the plastic. Of course you can't drill it out as you'll risk damaging the airbag. It's also an embossed badge, so it's not like you can really stick anything over the top of it either, it'll not stick. Plus; as an Abarth owner I can tell you the steering wheel badge says Fiat haha

I have modified a couple of my cars before but generally nothing major asthetically.

I have seen a few abarth sticker kits on cars and vans and they look sweet but.... the color of my stilo isn't really one you can pop off decals or other colours with... dark metallic blue

I was thinking the Fiat badges would look sweet as abarth badges, and then a dark tint, maybe wrap the roof and add some nice colour to the wheels...

I can't think of a good colour to go with on her...

On the steering wheel... shoo didn't know that lol! Bummer.

It's not different, it's wrong Sorry these things wind me up; it harks back to when I was hunting eBay and every cock jockey on there called their car an Abarth even though it was a 1.2 or 8v jtd. You should celebrate your MJ150 for what it is. It shouldn't be very far behind an Abarth, if at all, as it stands. with a basic remap it should be producing at very least as much BHP as an Abarth, more than likely more BHP and the torque you'll get will way exceed that of the Abarths, plus you'll get more MPGs. So the MJ150 should be much better than an Abarth and should be enjoyed as such :-D

Seeing as I am an Abarth owner - to me there are only 3, maybe 4 ways you can tell it's an Abarth.

1 - the noise it makes (5 cylinder)
2 - the way it goes
3 - the sole Abarth crest boot badge.
4 - ish. The interior trim.


The Abarth got silver grey dash trim panel (stereo, heater surround, climate panel etc). A lot of the other models got just flat black plastics but I think the silver got expanded out towards the end, so it's not as unique a feature as you might have hoped. Another tell-tale was that some of the Abarths got the funky LCD screen in the instrument cluster.

So the boot badge is the only real nod to Abarth. It doesn't have side skirt or front wing badging at all.

Otherwise the Abarth is very indistinguishable from the rest of the stilo range. Anything else you find is going to be dealer fit or aftermarket mod.

If you see my thread (today is an exciting day) you'll see I've replaced the rear boot badge on mine as the original got water in it, faded and popped the plastic dome off it. I also added some Abarth wing badges - because I wanted to.

The rest of it, front and rear badges, hub caps, steering wheel, all Fiat mate. There isn't even a badge on the dash that says it's an Abarth. I believe only the Schumachers had a build number panel in them.

Even under the bonnet is very bog standard Fiat - the only difference obviously is that you've got a slightly longer engine cover! Otherwise all factory plastics common to the range.

I do agree to a point - i don't want to actually call mine an Abarth.
Its more of a Homage to Abarths and the styling.

Just like every twit who had a Vauxhall then went for the Irmscher kits and stickers.

I just want a nice set of Abarth striped vinyls for the lower sides or the angle just above the fuel filler to the front wing.

And - i prefer the abarth badge to a Fiat one...

I will always call it a Multijet 150 lol.
