General Aaaarrggghhh!!!

As you may know, my Stilo got damaged whilst parked up recently, anyway, I went to pick it up this afternoon, all was going well until...

From 50 yards away I noticed the gaping mis-alignment between the sill and newly fitted wing[}] On closer inspection, the paint in the joint was also cracked and peeling[!]

Not very happy my GF and I went round the car, finding it had picked up a scuff on the back bumper strip and a vertical scratch down the entire bumper[xx(]

Unamused I went back in and pointed all this out, he agreed it wasn't right and said he wanted to keep it. What annoyed me more tho was when he suggested the alignment may be the best he could do as 'you get that with fiats!!!' What? and that 'he wouldn't accept full responsibility for the scratches' Though he said he would sort them out.

To cap it off I'd just returned my hire car, and on a Friday afternoon there courtesy cars were nowhere tobe seen. Fortunatley the lady on the desk (really nice and helpfull), pointed out they had just had a delivery on brand spanking new micra's. So guess what I got

Shame its orange and has THE most plasticy interior ever! Is it meant to be nostalgic of early datsun or something?

Anyway, thats my rant, not having too much luck so far with this car

So far all the time i've been on this board your car has been in shop! B) I feel for ya! [V]

Ah, poor old James, just remember with the Micra, it Spacious and Safe, or in Micra speak that's Spafe, Shiny and Brite, or in Micra speak, that's s**te!

Yeah I took it to a Fiat repairer...:I:I

Well, I first took it to who direct line recommended, they wanted to beat out the door rather than replace it (I'm sure its galvanised?), which I wasn't very happy with, so I took it to somewhere I was recommended, it has an excellent rep and is approved my BMW, Merc & Jag. I also got advice from a guy at Gainmanor, who said they don't have the facilities, but to take it to this place (the one I was recommended) as they are excellent, and with the quality of their work my warranty won't be a problem.

So I took it in there, but now I feel a right mug:I I recon they probably are excellent at mercs, BM's & Jags, but now that I think about it, how many Stilo's will they have worked on before mine??? Exactly!

So anyway, fingers crossed it will be sorted on Monday night

If I'm not happy with it in myself tho, I may change it after about a year, as I got it soooo cheap, I might not loose out too much:I

Oh yeah, the micra, yeah its an awfull colour, its plasticy and you feel like your on a perch driving it, but in a funny way I like it Would n't buy one mind!

BTW Stiloboy, my car has only been in since the 28th, I was driving it damaged for a couple of weeks when I first came onto the board, but out of the 9 weeks I've had my Stilo, I had only 4 weeks of driving a lovely new undamaged car[!] No compo for that from the insurance[}]

You should have reversed the Micra into something just for a laugh!

good job you didnt let direct line fix it they repaired my old punto which had been broken into,they filled the hole beneath the lock with filler ,the car was never the same again ,now luckily i own a 1.6 dinamic stilo ,hope everything goes well
