AA Car Checks

hi guys,

got a buyer for my car and they want to send the aa man out to do a check on it. just wondering if anyone knows what they check?

I'm sure officially they check everything they can carefully, but read the small print and it has disclaimers everywhere, (prob. not surprising these days.)

Does remind me of a mate who had a small Renault van checked-out by the RAC about 10 years ago before he bought it.
The man would'nt drive it, but the only 'fault' he found was a cracked grille badge.
Happy, my mate paid him the £65 and so bought the,(5 year old) van.

The gearbox duly failed 3 days later....

The RAC inspections include actual road tests, dont the AA ?
