General A lot of welding....

First of all let me state that I hate welding......this entire weekend has been nothing but welding. I still haven't completely finished.... I've run out of Argoshield until Monday. Drat.
What was going to be a relatively simple repair to the end of the sill turned out to be much more significant mainly because of the stupid plastic arch liners and their securing screws. They had caused the "chassis" rail to rust.
I dread to think if I look on the other side that I'll find the same. I hope not.
Anyway, here are some piccies for your entertainment.
Incidentally, I have just gone off this bloody Panda in a very big way....despite owning it for more than a decade.

yeah that was quite the welding job.. nice work.

fallout was pretty bad in those places. one sill rear was just gone.. total rebuild but the other side barely had surface rust! just how they go i guess..

makes me wonder if the factory rust proofing was all done by hand over in italy..

Probably applied as an afterthought by hand, haphazardly. The other side looks to be fine.
Oh well.

Believe me, this thing will be drowning in Waxoyl by the time I finish. I have had a good bout of bashing seven bells out of the floorpan etc with a lump hammer today and nothing else has become obvious.....there's always next year for more surprises.....
