General 96k Mile Service

I have a 20V NA coupe that is nearing its 96k service. Unfortunately, there is a complete lack of indepedent garages in the area that I would trust to service it properly, so I'm going to have to consider taking it back into the main Fiat dealer network (oh dear!)

I just wondered if anyone had any rough ideas as to the likely cost and whether the menu pricing relates to the coupe or not.

Also, I'm a little concerned that the dealer network will be a little rusty on the coupe and won't have clue what to do with it after so many years out of production. Am I right to be concerned?

Whats your location, someone will be able to advise a decent garage. Are you needing belts changed?

I am up in Northumberland. I don't need any belts changing or anything serious. Its just the equivalent of a 24k service. Wouldn't mind getting a new thermostat fitted though at the same time.

Thanks for this. I will definately give them a call. Anything has to be better than hitting the dreaded Fiat network with a Coupe.

I tried a dealer and when I said it was a Coupe the guy said "oh you mean one of those little cars with the wheel on the wrong side?" (I presume he meant the Barchetta). To be fair that certainly helped to answer my question as to whether they were up to the job!!

So your choices are to take it the the dealer who used to service them?

or take it to an independent garage who may have never seen one?

I have a mate who has coupe 20vt who just had the 108k service at local dealer who have done every service to date, so they see at least once a year and they must be ok for him to go back there.

but alas they in devon (bit far to go :bang: )

Or take it to a FIAT independent specialist like FAST who own them, or autoitalia, or powerfiat etc.
