i got a 96 900i sx, how can i get the most out of my engine with out having to go as far as a transplant? for in insurance purposes.

gonna do sommat, but not much now though, i'm gonna get a sporting. might as well have a good car to start off with, its just that this one i got was free. and you dont look a gift horse in the mouth.

that what i thought jonna, just dont know when i'm gonna be getting one yet though, i'm a little skint at the mo. wouldn't really be losing much cash on my sx cos me g/f having it.

how much extra bhp do you recon with a k&n induction, back box, leads and plugs? had head skimmed about a month ago. got castrol magnatech oil in it at the mo.

5 bhp maximum, sparkplugs and leads dont really give any more bhp but make it more responsive, remember with any engine its not bhp but torque that matters!

Honestly worth waiting to get a sporting. The 899 is an old design engine and won't take serious mods well.
