After a several 700 mile / week commutes, my 80SX has developed a metallic squeak after cold start, that disappears in less than a minute.
It isn't a belt squeak (pressing clutch makes no difference either), but comes from near the alternator, or possibly water pump. My guess is possibly due to road salt, but anyone had anything similar?
I've sprayed alternator with WD40, but made no difference. All belts were replaced less than 5k miles ago, and mileage is still only 34k.
