I have been finding out about the PureTech engines in the 600 Hybrid. It has a reputation re its wet belt issues, BUT I think the latest versions in the 600 Hybrid have a timing chain. I gleaned this from a Stellantis press issue. Can anybody confirm this?

Thank you. I drove the 136 version last week in a 600. Drove well enough. Auto gear box seemed okay as well.
About gear box the MOST'S 600 hybrid have a recall for software update (to fix some problems of grearbox, many owners get serius damage and replace gearbox and electric motor). In my car it gave me an error message (the same like those ho broken the G.Box at first day one time for a second. but after 2 months call my dealer to asking him about this big recall and discovered that my car is under recall to update ECU firmware. (CHECK IT VIN number to your dealer my advice). On Facebook italian 600 group some owners upload photos.

Hi there! My 600 hybrid had some gear change problems until yesterday when it collapsed (check engine message). Do you think it's ECU firmware and could be enlisted for recall? How can I check that? Tnx

Ours collapsed on Monday wouldnt budge stuck on tge local Tesco car park. No luggts on the gear selectors just dead. Louise finally got it to light the gears after 45 minutes and parked it up. We waited four and a half hours for the Fiat recovery to turn up. He said straight away it had to go to a dealer. None of tge ones he rang would actually speak to him. We all decided to risk moving it home and he followed us home. Louise rang tge dealer we got it from who said it would be October 3rd before he could fit it in and no courtesy car. He did say if he had it in th e garage he could try and get the diagnostics on it when he got chance. We took it the morning after and it packed in again on his forecourt so he cant say he hasnt seen it. Took 3 of them to get it parked. Anyway we have left it with them and he has promised to get his main techies on it asap. He saud he had been on a Stelantis course and they said people arent pushing tge drive buttons correctly. They needed to be pushed dead centre we reminded him tgere are no lights on the drive so nothing to do with that.
So new car in May and its now stuck vack at tge dealers.
