One of many faults this car has had, I have the engine management light on and the drive mode selector not working on my 66 reg 1.6 diesel Cross. I plugged in my obd code reader and it is a faulty crankshaft position/cam shaft position sensor faulty so the engine feels sluggish as well. The dealer says it’s not a common fault and not sure if it’s covered yet on my extended warranty. For a three year old car it’s a joke how much it’s been in for repair from me getting it at 18 months old.
Repairs so far:
1)New clutch assembly and master cylinder
2)Near side drip link
3) two new media units
4) rear washer pump
5) wheel arch lining
6) window regulator (which didn’t fix the fault so waited a year for Fiat HQ to come back with a fix)
7)external temperature sensor replaced
8)kept over night to charge for stop/start fix
And I’m sure I’ve missed a few other repairs.
I’ve never known a car like this requiring so many repairs. Has anyone else had such high quantity of faults with their 500x?
