Removed the speedometer yesterday for the purpose of painting the plastic speedo surround, like how it looks in white.

Decided to dismantle the speedo and clean the glass, face, etc. Most of it was in good shape, basically a clean and respraying some parts in flat black and its much better.

The clear plastic that contains the mph readings 0-70 unfortunately has the yellow haze you see with old plastic. Is there a supplier out there for this part? Mine is a USA model so the speedo reads in MPH. I would imaginethey used the same part in the UK. Thanks

Thanks bambino,

I will rebuild with the parts i have and start the search. Still have family in Italy so i think i should be able to locate, only thing is it will likely be in Kmh.

shhh ..dont tell anyone.

Finsihed up the speedo and i'm Ok with the results. it will stay as is for now. What really helped reduce the yellowish tint was going with a gloss black backround instead of the factory flat black. Seems to have helped.

Hi mimmo,

Check the UK EBay website and search for "Classic Fiat 500 kph to mph converter". This should be what you're after. Unfortunately I can't post the URL.

Cheers,
Matt
