There I was, sitting in the smallest room, reading Staniforth, when I spotted a picture of Nigel Mansell in the first active suspension GP car.
And I started to wonder...........
That was nearly 30 years ago.
We've still got passive suspension, ARBs and the rest.
We've got FBW, ABS, ECUs, ESP and all that. Much better impact protection. Cars weigh something like 50kg more than they need to.
But the best active safety feature has been completely ignored.
Or could it be that, like the idiot Balestre, the powers that be don't want us going round corners faster?
