I do not know if the attached diagrams are still correct for your vehicle, as they relate to the introduction of the x250 model in 2006. My earlier x244 has the same fuse location for the ignition switch. The ignition switch fuse is a 30A(green) maxi blade fuse. The engine bay fusebox is supplied by a fuse at the battery positive terminal.

I am sorry, but I do not have the exact information that you seek. The information previously provided should be OK for x250 vehicles, but may have some need some changes for later vehicles. On my even earlier x244, I believe that it is F16 that supplies ignition on signal to the ECU to start the key code recognition, which is very fast if all items are working correctly. If there is no supply to F16, and function is the same then key code symbol will not illuminate and then go out.

I had missed the fact that the vehicle will not crank. This function is very basic, but in an automatic you have to select "P" before engine will crank. (I have a Skoda autonatic, and this also allows cranking with "N" selected.) On the x244 Ducato this interlock was provided by a relay with contacts in the starter solenoid circuit. The relay position has obviously changed as it is now designated for cooling fan (T06). However I see that Relay T20 is shown as spare in diagram. Perhaps this relay controls the starter solenoid and is not being operated from the transmission selector contacts?

Another possibility to consider is a faulty engine bay fusebox. These have been reported for going either open circuit, or short circu The latter due to overheating at faulty connections.

Others with later models and auto transmission may be better informed than myself.
