We have a 2020 motorhome with the new 9 speed transmission error. It first comes up with the red error below, then if I switch off the engine and wait a couple of minutes and restart the engine it will switch to amber and the van will drive OK. We have taken it to a Fiat garage and spent over £800 with no resolution they have check the loom and seemingly nothing wrong. The error codes are below any ides welcomed Tanks to all.

Hi,
I also have had the same error codes come up. Our motorhome has been at the Fiat service center for 8 weeks with no result at this stage. Have you resolved your problem and if so how has it been fixed.
Thanks

Well it turned out the fault after having spent over £800 to have gearbox removed as recommended by Fiat. The crew at HTC Croydon took the time to remove the air filter so the could access the electrical connections to the gearbox. Juggled each in turn until they found the one that was faulty. A £2 part alll sorted! Very frustrating.

Wonder if you could update us as to the original fault and outcome please? Thanks

Hi there we should update the problem returned last December and the van ended up in Adam’s Morley in Portsmouth for 4 months while they figured out the issue. Elddis pushed Fiat to assist us and in the end they replaced the wiring loom in the gearbox and the solenoid kit as well. We paid 1/3 of the cost as the warranty had expired so all in all we have shelled out £2,000 in getting the van home ‘low loaded to port’ hotel etc. Plus initial and other costs. All we can say is we are back in the road and the van is going well after over 1000 miles so far!
