Hi all I'm a newbie here but I'm assuming probably an old issue a few here may be familiar with,
My daughter's car (2016 500X 1.4 multi) had cut on her the other day and wouldn't start so she left it and walked the half mile home, when returning later it started so drove it home only to have it fail to start later on that evening but this time it was doing the whirring noise of a failed starter so we had a friend of ours called over replace the starter and since then have had no start at all on the car no dash lights or anything now our friend is a competent mechanic constantly rebuilding engines on most major manufacturers but as he admits himself electrics is not his forte but suspects it's either the connection on the negative battery terminal or possibly the BCM my question is anybody on here aware of how we can test these components before replacing as they're not the cheapest things to replace on a whim?
