Doblo 2011 Doblo 1.9 multijet 16v td

Removed and cleaned egr and also the egr hose .

Replaced all correct and all good however

I seemed to lose a lot of water when taking egr off .

Didn't seem to come from the manifold but not sure .
Did I loosen something adjacent? Lost about a pint and a bit fitted all back topped up coolant reservoir and all looks good ..
Not started the engine yet as giving battery a good charge

I'm a newbie so any thoughts appreciated
