General 2000 Ducato clutch pedal

Just had a call for help from a pal whose clutch pedal has broken. What sort of job is it to fit a new one? Is it easy to get to, etc?

Yeah, it's easy to fit, but I couldn't figure out how to fit the spring, so I left it off.

yep i leave the sping of the ones i do work in a car hire all fiat vans
plastic pedals there a bad make even had new pedals snapping soon as they are fitted glad u sorted it mate

Oh my god, I didn't read this before posting but it sounds like this could be a nightmare for me. Is there no stronger replacement?
