Right - was wondering, is it possible to have 2 signal wires to a Relay and energised

For example, if i added front fogs to my car, would i be able to have
A signal wire from the High Beam lights, so when i put my high beams on, the fog lights do too
and a signal wire so when i need fog lights i can have them as fogs

Would it be too much power for the Electro magnet to have 2 power feeds at once

So say its foggy - i have fog lights on
Say i Flash some1 to say hello i'm here, it wont burn out the relay would it?

See this. But I have an inkling that it's illegal to use fog lights in the same way.

Used outside of foggy conditions, fog lights tend to dazzle very badly, and main beam in fog is, if anything, worse.

Alternatively, wire them independently.

i did wonder the legality of it, just be nice when its dark as hell i could flick the fogs on at the same time as the highbeam for just that little more light on those country lanes and the open area carriageways

Wiring fogs in aint a problem for me :) just need to get fogs to start with lol

Can't be done. The internal design is completely different.

You need something like this
attachment.php

12 volts is 12 volts the relay will only draw as much current as it needs based in its internal resistance so basically connects as many feeds as you like and as long as they are still not more than 12volts it's not going to cause any problems at all

Fogs with main beams is quite a common mod the problems come where the lights don't use a relay from the cabin switch (which is quite common) so connecting the fogs adds extra load to the switch and burns the switch out.

Many landrover owners like to connect the main beams to turn on bull bar and roof mounted lights when driving off road, some also like to fit a kill switch just in case plod investigates/mot time

As for laws fog lights only to be used when visibility below 100 yards yet no one pays attention anymore to fog light laws (kill switch)
You are less likely to be Dazzling other drivers with fog lights however if they turn off with main beams
