I've got a mate who goes 4x4ing in a vitra with a 2ltl ford in it, and the guy that helped him build it has one with a vaxhaul 2ltr in it, and he says that there is a guy who goes on the same offroad course as him with a panda, i was expecting him to slag it off but he said its great because it's so light it don't get stuck in the mud like the big 4x4's do and it's got the roll cage on the outside, the guy who ownes it wanted to do 4x4ing and the panda was the only way he could afford it.

ISTR You're only ever five handshakes away from just about anybody:)

How many (handshakes) would you think Ex President Clinton is from a Panda driver?

1, 2, 3, 4, or 5??

Amongst other things I've used mine to tow an Audi out of a ditche in 6" of snow (bet he wished he had spent the extra to get a quattro) and a 25 foot speedboat out of axle deep mud in torrential rain - much to the surprise of the owner as his Volvo had just bogged down. IT has also been used touring Europe towing a trailer tent with 2 kids, 2 bicycles and a windsurfer

The off road capability is unexpected the only problem is that the ground clearance is not as good as big 4X4s and the track is a lot narrower so that using tracks requires picking a slightly different route not just plugging along in the ruts left by others.
