Please could someone advise me on the grade of engine oil for the above.

The guy at the store as recommended 10w/40 semi Synthetic is this ok

10w/40 semi-synthetic it is......and best if you get diesel or turbo-diesel version as it will have a few more detergents etc. than oil not thus marked.
