Hi, have the option of a Ducato MPV with the said engine on a 58 reg, 130k. Drove well. So, can we confirm it won't have a DPF? Any grave concerns or advice? Will use it as a second car and camper.

Water ingress, reverse judder and associated clutch/flywheel issues. DPF was a voluntary option that could be ordered e.g. for LEZ easiest thing is get under it and take a look.

Thanks for your reply! Had read about the murder here and the clutch is being replaced before sale anyway :). Somehow being drawn into the Fiat brand in spite of the tales of woe on these forums! Our other car is a Qubo. . . The assistance here helps, will make a contribution soon!

The judder is exasperated by the ludicrous weight some of the motorhome converters put on these chassis they'd be overloaded most of the time. As an MPV you probably won't be over 2.5ton?

Hi again, so one quick question . . There is a pipe tucked under the bonnet release with a filled hole for a sensor, and the cable for said sensor is hanging free. What is it for? Also it does not have a DPF. See the pick for the sensor location.

Not a hole for a sensor its the bearing/pivot for the butterfly in the throttle valve. Not sure re: connector maybe its for an optional bonnet switch.
