I bought my Ducato in June and all was fine, she needed some TLC so a good service was in order fluids and filters. All seemed to be well but i noticed the airbox to turbo hose was split badly so ordered a new hose. After replacing the hose when I start the van there is copious amounts of white smoke (it's like a smoke bomb) which can take a couple of minutes to clear at idle. When I drive hard (hills etc) there is quite a lot of black smoke but this does lessen when the van is thoroughly warmed up. The van starts really easily first time, every time and has plenty of power and drives really well and returns about 30mpg. It has 107.000 miles on the clock and has had a fairly hard life as a builders van and probably a sketchy service history as well.
Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this?
