Technical 1992 2.5 ducato motorhome starter battery

Hello ,
I am looking for a replacement starter battery for my motorhome , the motorhome is an A-class so the engine compartment space is limited and does not have room for the standard size heavy duty battery that is reccommended for ducatos of that year, found this out the hard way,the origonal has no info to indicate cca or amps, is there anyone here with same type engine that could tell me the battery code or amps and cca please.

Measure the length, breath and height of the one you have then get the highest amps/cca you can for that size. Are you sure the standard won't fit? I crammed the standard into my father in laws hymer theres about 4mm wiggle room

Thanks a million for the reply, I had to move a lot of stuff to just get the old one out,but the length was the problem with the replacement i got (bosch HSB019) was right up against the gear box . Do recall the battery type you put in was a long one ie350 mm or so ?

just replaced the battery in my 93 Ducato, it was 760A 100Ah, and was one of the longer ones alrights, about 35 cm long. Had to remove the flame start controller shich was located above the battery.

An update on the battery problem .....the starter motor is hooked up through the leisure battery ?!so thats all for now .

I have a 2001 Ducato 2.8 JTD motorhome and also have difficulty in removing the stater battery due to its size it looks as if I will have to remove the header tank problem is to get to the live terminal on the battery there is also a cover over the battery thought at first it was a sealed battery but it is not any help would be appreciated....
